Zeenat Audu
Counsellor
Assalamu’alaykum! I’m Zeenat Audu. As a professional counsellor and transformation coach, my priority is to offer a safe non judgemental space that allows us to peel beneath the layers and get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck so you can finally breakthrough and live in alignment with your God given primary purpose (Serving Him).”
Let’s be honest: Life is a battlefield. For me, that battle was fought against the invisible enemy of shame, a crushing sense of low self-esteem and it’s cronies. I know what it feels like to stand in your own way.
But I also know that life’s most profound healing doesn’t come in a straight line. It comes in the quiet, persistent effort to turn towards the light. For me, that light was my relationship with Allah—the unwavering cornerstone that nurtures and brings profound transformation. It was this personal journey, more than any certificate, that qualified me for my life’s work.
Holistic Muslimah Consult, is built on the belief that to truly thrive, we must nourish the heart, mind, body, and soul equally. Our goal is to shift Muslim women from just surviving life’s trials to confidently facing them with faith.
My background isn’t just theory; it’s hands-on impact, honed as a Counsellor with LAN Health Initiative and with Mentally Aware Nigerian Initiative (MANI). I’ve sat with young adults struggling with the debilitating weight of anxiety, grief, suicide ideation, and body image issues—and with the help of Allah, we’ve always found a way out.
Through my experience working across diverse sectors over six years, I’ve helped numerous clients navigate the deep waters of pain in different shapes and forms, supporting them to move past it’s debilitating effects and step back into a life of meaning and forward-looking purpose.
I’ve had the privilege of teaching and reaching over 600 young Muslim women (and counting) on emotional and mental well-being, grounding every lesson in the wisdom of our faith.
I hold a Bachelors and Masters degree in Guidance and Counselling, I’m also a student of Islamic knowledge. On the side, I’m a learning and development specialist and behavioural change consultant specifically for organizations and Institutions.
I combine this academic foundation with practical, cutting-edge tools: I am a Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and Result Coach. I am also a member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (MCASSON) and an affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Corporate Mentoring and Coaching, Nigeria. (af.CIMCN), and a member of Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM).
I Practice using approaches that are trauma Informed, Client Centred and Integrative alongside with Islamic Psychology and Neurolinguistic Programming. Some of my expertise include;
Pre Marital Counselling
Self Esteem Related Issues
Academic and Career Counselling
Relationship Challenges
Outside of Work and Studies, you would likely catch me supporting global youth initiatives as an ambassador and of course spending time with family and creatively expressing myself through art. I see my role as someone who walks beside you along the shore as you navigate the shifting currents of life.

Masturah Bamigboye
Clinical Psychlogist
Salaam alaykum,
I am Masturah Bamigboye. Taking the first step toward counseling can feel daunting, especially in a community where seeking mental health support is often misunderstood. I want you to know that you’re in a safe, welcoming space where your faith, your feelings, and your struggles are all honored.
As a Muslim therapist, I believe counseling is a collaborative journey where I help you discover your own inner strengths and solutions using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques according to your needs and values integrating Islamic perspectives naturally into our work.
Islam acknowledges the fullness of human experience, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) wept when his son Ibrahim died and expressed a grieved heart showing us that feeling our emotions is part of being human. *If the Prophet (SWT) acknowledged grief and expressed openly, why can’t you?*
We will explore
- How Islamic principles can support your healing
- Balancing religious obligations, cultural scenarios with mental health needs amongst others.
- Processing guilt or shame around struggling despite your faith
- Finding peace through both dua and therapeutic tools
- Understanding that tawakkul (trust in Allah) and seeking help are not contradictory
- Seeking counselling is not weak faith; the Prophet taught us, *”For every disease, Allah has given a cure.”* I create a space where psychology and spirituality work together, where your faith becomes a source of strength rather than guilt.
I Work With:
Adults dealing with anxiety, stress, anger management, life transitions, identity and purpose, spiritual struggles, relationship difficulties, and cultural identity conflicts, whether you’re navigating faith and mental health, work-life balance, or finding meaning in challenging seasons.
Adolescents and young adults navigating identity formation, peer relationships, emotional regulation, self-esteem, anger management, and the unique challenge of balancing cultural and religious expectations with modern life and personal growth.
Couples seeking premarital counselling to build strong Islamic marriage foundations, individual premarital work to heal past wounds and break generational patterns from witnessing parents’ difficult marriages, address commitment anxiety, or work through marital challenges like communication breakdown, trust issues.
Students needing social-emotional support, managing peer pressure, building resilience, and navigating social and identity challenges.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counselling and am a registered member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), Lagos State chapter, committed to ethical, professional practice.
My work extends beyond individual counselling. I’ve collaborated with organizations including MANI and UNFPA on vital community initiatives such as substance abuse awareness and prevention, and female genital mutilation education and advocacy. Through these partnerships, I’ve witnessed how appropriate guidance, education, and support can transform lives, how one conversation, one intervention can redirect to wholeness.
Beyond my formal credentials, I bring genuine compassion, Islamic ethics, humility, and deep respect for each person’s unique story, background, beliefs, and journey knowing we are all on the course of fate while I continue to pursue professional development in areas that impact the community.
*What Clients Say*
*”You created such a safe space for me. For the first time, I felt truly heard and understood without judgment.”*
*”The tools I learned in our sessions have helped me make better choices*
You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone.
Let’s talk.
How Therapy Works for You
Therapy is not about fixing you. It’s about creating a safe, respectful space where you can explore what you’re carrying, make sense of your emotions, and grow at a pace that honours both your wellbeing and your faith.
There is no pressure to rush, perform, or have everything figured out. We meet you where you are, and walk with you gently from there.
Therapy is a collaborative process. We talk, reflect, and gently explore what’s coming up for you, while building tools that support emotional clarity, resilience, and faith-aligned growth.
That’s completely okay. You don’t need to have the “right words.” We’ll take things step by step, starting with whatever feels most present or heavy for you.
Healing isn’t linear, and it looks different for everyone. Some people notice small shifts early on, while others need more time. Progress happens at your pace, not on a fixed timeline.
Our approach is compassionate, culturally aware, and rooted in Islamic values. We focus on growth, self-understanding, and emotional safety rather than pressure or perfection.
Yes. Your privacy and trust are deeply respected. Sessions are held in a safe, confidential space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement.
Feedback from Sisters We've Supported
Once upon a time, I couldn’t even recognize myself.
My self-esteem? Down the hill.
Courage and confidence? Zero.
I started slipping into a victim mentality—something I’ve always hated.
It was hard. Journaling helped… but it wasn’t enough.
There was so much to unpack.
Because truly, the outer world reflects the inner self.
The fruit is what it is… because of the seed.
Then came therapy, and it turned out to be the most amazing part of my year.
Oooh, I cried.
I cried severally.
Because the body truly keeps the score.
But slowly… we began to laugh through it.
To breathe through it.
To grow through it.
Some of my assignments during therapy led me back to the lives of the Prophets and the Sahabas, and I was reminded of strength, struggle, and surrender.
I remember telling my friend I was in therapy, and she laughed so hard.
But one day, she came around and said:
“It’s good to have you back in your full element.”
She’s even waiting for more of me to unfold.
(Same person wey laugh me oh 😅)
My therapy sessions may be over now…
But every Sunday, I still long for that space.
Things I fought myself to forget became easy to let go.
Relationships I thought I was over with, I now embrace again—
but from a place of awareness and boundaries.
Because the clarity that comes from healing remains unmatched.
She spoke to me about low, moderate, and high-maintenance relationships.
How the best shade of blue can never be the cup of tea of someone whose favorite color is green.
Our sessions were more like Seerah classes and Tadabbur sessions.
She spoke about my unique intelligence…
Awwwnnn ❤️
Then again, she reminded me that life is a journey, and if I ever find myself overwhelmed again, I shouldn’t forget to nurture my soul.
Therapy might be expensive, but healing isn’t.
The Qur’an is free to air.
Low-key missing therapy.
It was hard to say goodbye as she showered me with so much du‘ā’.
When I decided to book a session, I was scared and skeptical initially.
I mean, I had tried talking to people before then, but nobody really understood me.
Deep down, I felt this was probably going to be the same experience again,
but I still decided to try one more time.
And by the will of Allah, the counselor was an answered prayer.
She was more than a counselor.
She was a sister, a confidant, and one of the few people who didn’t think I was crazy.
From the very first day, she made me feel safe with her.
She didn’t judge me.
Instead, she carved out a pathway for me.
And she didn’t just carve it—she walked with me.
She was a great listener and knew how to gently get me to speak out and express myself,
even when I didn’t want to.
She supported me emotionally and also provided necessary materials along the way.
By the end of our sessions, I gained clarity,
felt a strange but calming sense of peace within me,
and knew how to navigate the challenge I was facing.
I am deeply grateful to Allah for allowing me to have an encounter with her.
I truly appreciate her support and expertise.
It was exactly what I needed.
I pray that Allah never leaves her to her own affairs as well.
